The establishment of the Daitian Temple Library was determined during the approval of Case No. 4 at the chief meeting on December 14, 2017. The Library aims to serve the worshippers, pilgrims, students of social education classes, community residents and students. It aims to carry out collection, repair, archive, acquisition and maintenance, barcode creation, bookcase number arrangement and reading service planning for sutra, books of exhortation for good deeds, and scripture. The mission of the library is to serve as an academic research library. The current services include book reading, interlibrary loan, and reservation and drop-off.

To extend the library function, the Daitian Temple Library collaborated with the Keelung City Cultural Affairs Bureau Library to establish a checkout counter, which is integrated with the automatic system in the Keelung City Cultural Affairs Bureau Library. Users can look up the collection and resources of these two libraries online. The visibility of collection and service have been extended. The two libraries spare no effort in reading promotion.
